Why forwarded ports matter
Most VPNs block incoming connections, so other peers can't reach you. You can still download, but you connect to fewer peers and seed slowly, which hurts your ratio on private trackers.

Should I use the VPN or the SOCKS5 proxy?
Use the VPN if you want port forwarding for better seeding or want your whole computer protected. Use the SOCKS5 proxy if you only want your torrent client covered, or you already run another VPN. You can use both.
How does port forwarding improve seeding?
It lets other peers start connections to you, so you connect to more of the swarm and upload faster. That keeps your ratio healthy on private trackers.
What's the difference between Armor and Monitor?
